FESTIVAL DE SANTIAGO. XI EDICIÓN DE LA FIESTA PATRONAL DE SANTIAGO APÓSTOL.

El 25 de enero se celebrará la XI Edición de la Fiesta Patronal de Santiago Apóstol, copatrono de Villa Gesell. En esta renovada oportunidad, se iniciará con la Peregrinación por la Avenida 3 con la imagen del Santo, acompañada por peregrinos, autoridades y representantes de instituciones locales, cofrades y agrupaciones tradicionalistas. También contará con la presencia del Obispo Gabriel Mestre y representantes de la Orden del Camino de Santiago de España: Caballero Comendador en Argentina, Hugo Fernández Zamponi y la Dama Mónica Vázquez. Toda la ceremonia continuará con la celebración de la Santa Misa, la entrega al municipio de la «Medalla Jacobea», luego la volada del botafumeiro y los espectáculos artísticos tradicionales, además del patio gastronómico. Será un gran momento para compartir y disfrutar de todos los atractivos que propone este Festival en esta temporada de verano 2020.

PROGRAMACIÓN

 

18.30 - Peregrinación con la imagen del Santo. Acompañan peregrinos, autoridades e instituciones locales, junto al Obispo Gabriel Mestre y los representantes de la Orden del Camino de Santiago de España, Caballero Comendador en Argentina, desde la Capilla Inmaculada Concepción (Avenida Buenos Aires y Avenida 4) por la Avenida 3, hasta el Santuario Santiago Apóstol, ubicado en Paseo 125 y Avenida 5.

 

20.00 - Celebración de la Santa Misa presidida por el Obispo Gabriel Mestre. Entrega al Municipio de Medalla Jacobea por representantes de la Orden del Camino de Santiago de España. Volada del Botafumeiro.

 

21.00 - Grupo de Gaiteros del Centro de Gallegos de Mar del Plata.

 

21.30 - Orquesta Municipal de Villa Gesell.

 

22:30 - Dúo Tenoreón (lirica).

 

23.00 - Diego Desanzo (melódico)

 

Habrá cordero al asador, patio gastronómico, cerveza artesanal, juegos inflables, y espectáculos musicales en vivo.

ST. JAMES THE APOSTLE FESTIVAL

11th EDITION OF THE PATRONAL FESTIVAL OF SANTIAGO APÓSTOL

On January 25, the 11th Edition of the Festival of Patron St. James the Apostle, co-patron of Villa Gesell, will be held. This renewed opportunity will begin with the Pilgrimage along Avenida 3 with the image of the Saint, accompanied by pilgrims, authorities, and representatives of local institutions, members of the brotherhood, and traditionalist groups.

It will also have the presence of Bishop Gabriel Mestre and representatives of the Order of the Way of Saint James of Spain: Knight Commander in Argentina Hugo Fernández Zamponi and the lady Mónica Vázquez. The whole ceremony will continue with the celebration of the Holy Mass, the presentation of the "Jacobean Medal" to the municipality, then the flown of the botafumeiro and the traditional artistic shows, in addition to the food court.

It will be a great time to share and enjoy all the attractions that this Festival proposes in this 2020 summer season.

SCHEDULE

6:30 p. m.- Pilgrimage with the image of the Saint. It is accompanied by pilgrims, local authorities and institutions, together with Bishop Gabriel Mestre and the representatives of the Order of the Way of Saint James of Spain, Knight Commander in Argentina, from the Immaculate Conception Church (Avenida Buenos Aires and Avenida 4), along Avenida 3, to the St. James the Apostle Sanctuary, located on Paseo 125 and Avenida 5.

8 p. m.- Celebration of the Holy Mass. Presentation of Jacobean Medal by representatives of the Order of the Way of Saint James of Spain to the Municipality of Villa Gesell. Flown of botafumeiro.

9 p. m. - Group of Pipers of the Galician Center of Mar del Plata.

9:30 p. m. - Villa Gesell Municipal Orchestra.

10:30 p. m. - Tenoreón duo (lyric).

11 p. m. - Diego Desanzo (melodic)

There will be roast lamb, food court, craft beer, inflatable games, and live music shows.
